THE MUSIC STOPS HERE SCREENS AT MANIFF

3 March 2018

My documentary about an iconic music venue's struggle to survive property and infrastructure development in Manchester was screened in competition for Best Documentary Short at Manchester International Film Festival. Yup, the audience liked it. And no, I couldn't be there. Read on, I promise it won't be all winging.

DOC ON SEASIDE TOWNS
NOW PUBLISHED!

5 April 2018

Fresh and just out of the edit suite, my second short doc for Business Reporter takes you to Hastings, a town that has been labelled 'Costa del Dole' by everyone's favourite newspaper, The Daily Mail.

Guess what: that's not true. Life in Hastings is rapidly improving thanks to some spirited people and inventive entrepreneurs.

1066 Country has a battle on its hands and stands to win. Check my Productions page to find out how.

COMING SOON: DOC ON
REFUGEES' BUSINESSES

28 February 2018

My documentary about refugee entrepreneurs will present three newcomers who have started their own businesses in Europe.

Most of it was filmed in Berlin last year and now I am preparing to shoot the rest in London soon.

One of the three stories has already been out there, living its own life in the form of a Diploma film. The teachers liked it so much they put it up for an award at the Royal Television Society.

BIO

I am a filmmaker based in England. I graduated with distinction at University of Salford School of Journalism and got hooked on making non-fiction films during my internship at BBC Documentaries in London. Since then, I have worked for different companies as researcher, camera operator, broadcast journalist
and more recently as an editor.
I can shoot, edit, write and direct - and do all this either as a one-man band or as part of a team. I am interested in a variety of topics in the UK and beyond: from human interest stories to business issues, arts and technology.
I love good books, foreign languages and conversations with interesting people.
